First Time I Can Say That I Was Disappointed and Disillusioned With The Product That Heupel Put Out On The Field

It is sad to have to say this, but this is the first time in the Heupel era, that I can say that I am disappointed and disillusioned with the preparation, game plan, execution, decision making , play calling from Heupel and his staff.

They did a poor job of putting the players in a position to execute well. We were totally whipped at the point of attack on both sides of the ball. Heupel was outsmarted and out-coached by Napier, who is a lame-duck coach. Poor job. BOO!

When Herbstreit is able to pick up issues with our schemes, you know that the coaches have not done their jobs well.

Herbie noticed that our DBs were not following the motion man and it created a mismatch number wise on jet sweeps and plays to the motion side. Sure enough, Florida moved the ball on us. We continued to play zone throughout the game and made the Florida QB look like an All-American in the first half.

Herbstreit also noticed that our wideouts were not winning their match ups. I would not throw to Keyton if my life depended on it. He isn't fast enough nor physical enough to create separation.

STORY: Tennessee football looks to avoid 'self-inflicted wounds' going forward

To begin his Monday press conference, Tennessee football coach Josh Heupel quoted legendary Vols coach Robert Neyland.

"General Neyland probably said it best," said Heupel. "'The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win.' We did obviously not play to that standard on Saturday. Everybody in the building is disappointed. You can still sense it from the players today, the disappointment and hurt."

Beating My Head Against the Wall

I’ve rarely been so disappointed in our performance. I turned it off before half time and am glad I did. I’ve been heavily invested (figuratively and literally) in this program since my days on the Hill almost a half century ago. The valleys have been traveled many more times than the mountaintops. I hate to walk away, but the old cliche is ringing in my ears, “I keep beating my head against the wall because it feels so good when I stop.”

Trying so hard not to curse- Heupel

What the F happened to Heupel?

Milton isn’t the greatest qb- but Heupel has been awful awful awful so far this year.

He’s been absolutely atrocious and hasn’t helped Milton at all.

Run the damn offense w Milton or put Nico in.

Give the kid 30 plays. Screw all the read the saftey, read LB …….and that dictates the route.
If he doesn’t know it yet (and he probably doesn’t) just run a damn route (old school) and hit the open man.

I’m sick of this shit

If you don’t trust Milton to run your offense what the **** is the point in playing him.

This is all on Beupel.
Still love the guy. Glad to have him but he’s been awful.

Run the offense and win or lose

This shit sucks

Football Notebook: UTSA coach Jeff Traylor previews trip to Tennessee

Ahead of Saturday's game in Knoxville, UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor met with reporters on Monday morning to preview the Roadrunners' matchup with Tennessee.

Here are some key notes and quotes from Traylor's media availability:

– Traylor said that his defense "played very hard" in last Friday's loss to Army and that "it wasn't for a lack of effort." He mentioned some miscommunications that led to the Roadrunners allowing Army to put up 442 yards of offense and 37 points. Traylor also credited Army's quarterback for the way he performed.

– Traylor on UTSA quarterback Frank Harris, who missed the Army game due to an injury: "It's not changed. ... It'll be day-to-day – see how he looks. If he's not 100%, he will not play."

– Traylor on Tennessee's overall makeup: "They're just very talented. Josh has done a fantastic job there. He's on his Year Three. ... They had a big season last year with 11 wins. Their offense plays faster than anyone in the country. They're really talented. I'd say probably five or six NFL guys."

– Traylor said that it'll be tough for UTSA to play in the loud of environment at Neyland Stadium, especially with Tennessee coming off a loss. "You never want to play a team after a loss," he said. "It's going to be a rough environment against a good football team."
