Tennessee football: Notes and observations from fall camp practice No. 5

Tennessee was back at practice on Monday.

Here is my full notebook:

NOTES

- Javontez Spraggins is constant energy. Doesn't matter if it's early in the morning, he's always pumped.
- Couldn't find Cooper Mays or Wesley Walker during practice.
- Bru McCoy, Nathan Leacock and Squirrel White ran out with the team but instantly jogged back inside. Not sure what the reason was.

STORY: Kalib Perry's prior experience at DB helps him reach full potential at LB

Kalib Perry played nearly every position on defense for his high school.

Now, he is using his prior experience as a DB to help him as a Vols LB.

"Being able to play man coverage has helped me a lot, and I am transitioning that to linebacker now."

Tennessee football: Notes and observations from fall camp practice No. 3

We were able to watch a short amount of practice again on Friday.

NOTES

- After not being spotted yesterday, Squirrel White was seen today. Didn't see him during warmup but he appeared later.
- TEs were doing work on the sleds. Okoye is a beast for his age. It'll take a bit for him to be ready for an SEC football game but he's got the tools.
- No notable players missing.
- On red zone reps, it was typically WR running in routes and TE running outs to the front pylon.
- Pads are on!
