When age is a good thing

Seeing Chris Lofton getting his due. I have been honored to see Ernie, Bernie, Allan, Dale and Chris play basketball at Tennessee. I had seats with life long friend Bob Holsaple who was the architect of several of the buildings on campus. I will always have those memories. Born and raised in Knoxville in 1942, I was able to see Tennessee basketball in the old field house, then Stokely, then the new current facility. I got to see as a kid the last year of the General, watched all the Major years with Buddy Cruze, seeing Doug Atkins, and so many more vols that made All-American. I got to see the doubling of the stadium after the engineers said that because of the caves underneath the stadium they couldn't double deck it. The closing of the endzone. I missed the Tennessee walking horse and the canon on the hill at the north end of the stadium. I was in the endzone when we stopped Billy Cannon to beat the LSU Bengal Tigers. I was in the Chancellor's box when we beat Auburn at put Bo Jackson out of the game. I was in the stands when the snake Stabler through the ball out of bounds on 4th down to stop the clock. I saw the building of Tom Black track, and the building of the aquatic center. I have seen the good times and have road out the bad times. It is so good to see the good times are back where we have a new AD which is putting Tennessee back in the sports lime light.

My Last Resort...

Kicked off every other sports board by simply, nicely stating better research the vax.
Just got kicked off twitter for replying about a 10 year old vax victim. OK ...maybe I mentioned hanging the doctor.
The fight against the Truth and saving lives is simply beyond belief. Even when the CDC admits strokes...Censorship reigns.
May GOD bring Justice.

Basketball Updates on Santiago Vescovi, Tyreke Key ...

My apologies for not having a postgame thread. There were just four of us local media folks there tonight so Barnes and players just took questions in the visiting locker room.

Barnes did provide updates on why Santiago Vescovi and Tyreke Key were not available.

Barnes’ quotes on both players:

“(Vescovi) got fouled in the game against Kentucky. (A Kentucky player) yanked his shoulder. That one loose ball there where he came off the screen. You could see on tape where the guy grabbed him. And that arm that was sore, it reaggravated it. He tried to get ready, he just couldn’t pick it up the way he needed to.”

"Tyreke did go through our shootaround and we thought he was going to play, then once we got back to the hotel he got a temperature and it kept going up. A couple of the coaches have been under the weather a little bit."
