Move them to a pre conference season tournament with seeding based on last year's conference record or national ranking

Might be more focus by coaches and players bc they don't know yet they are in the NCAA tournament and one and dones have a ton to prove etc

Everyone is looking forward/ ahead to the NCAAT at this point plus most teams know they are in the tourney or not or prob a 6 seed for example with little chance to move up (and it will take 4+ wins in 5 days to win the conference tournament for example)

Even Roy Williams said long ago they no longer focus on the ACCT unless they get the byes (and win a game or even 2). Moving the ACCt to a Saturday finish also was brilliant move. Maybe it's all about the money but the SEC missed on finishing on Sunday giving their players/ coaches an extra day to travel home, prepare for 2.5 days and travel again to the NCAAT
