As the Vols await the visiting number 1 team in the country, the Georgia Bulldogs, the recruiting staff is also working to pack-out the visitor box for the weekend. The list is already full of star-studded names, with a few already being committed to other institutions.

The connection with 2024 DE Elias Williams has maintained since the Vols offered in mid-September, even after committing to Missouri.

The Tennessee staff offered 2025 OL Bobby Kanka in November of last year and have stayed on the trail a bit. Kanka committed to Michigan back in August.

2024 WR Michael Smith may be the most interesting one to watch. Although Smith is committed to South Carolina, his high school QB is Jake Merklinger, the Vols' QB of the 2024 cycle. Another ace in the hole for Smith is that it appears that 2025 WR and teammate to Merklinger and Smith, Thomas Blackshear is also making the trip and seems the interest in Tennessee is in a good spot.

Savannah Calvary Day visitors this weekend...

Hey everyone just spoke with QB commit Jake Merklinger. He'll be back in town this weekend but he won't be alone. He'll be joined by a pair of teammates.

I'm really intrigued by the Smith visit. He's a great looking prospect that I've been intrigued with since I was at Calvary Day last month. I do think the Vols like him and Auburn is also involved for the South Carolina commit.
