Does anyone know when a 10th assistant coach position will be approved and when it is, how do you guys see it affecting the current staff makeup presuming Scott gets the OC position as expected by many.
Scott - OC/TE
Gillespie - RB/RC
Azzani - WR (likely requires additional title and money to stay if passed up for OC)
Mahoney - OL (could possibly add Wells in an official capacity giving two OL coaches)
??? - QB
Shoop - DC/S
Stripling - DL (possibly Hoke if Stripling moves into analyst/support role, or maybe add Hoke in addition to Stripling and have a DE/DT split of coaching)
Thigpen - LB (could you add an additional linebacker coach, unlikely given we run "4-3" base)
Martinez - DB (most likely/possible replacement is Barlowe from NC State, unlikely to be Terry Fair)
There are numerous possibilities in addition to the ones I've talked about before for the 10th spot, including bringing back a ST coach. I hear Rich Bisaccia might be interested.
