I know this is nothing ground breaking but after what seems like years and years of a mid year gauntlet and Top 10 non conference opponent (usually) we have a much more realistic and honestly fair schedule. The SEC was completely out of line for the last few years.
They talk about as a fighter you only have so many "wars" in you. Tennessee having to generally play 4 straight top 15-20 teams and 2 generally being in the top 10 is ridiculous. We saw the effects of that this year more so than any. It is just different playing a big time team as opposed to a Kentucky or a Vandy. Mentally and physically.
In 2017 we do not have back to back heavy weight fights.
