Can we not have a separate board for it? Or how about 1 or 2 Covid19 threads? We have a BravesQuest thread that is 500 pages. Everyone who wants to talk Braves gets in it and stays updated with it. It is great. Clean and organized.
As @Hack mentioned today many come here to escape from the constant political shots that are being taken in the media, on Twitter and even in neutral national sports articles. It is everywhere. Everyone is taking shots or writing with slants. It's exhausting. There is nothing more divisive than going political and it is happening all the time. Not to mention that this thing brings about a lot of anxiety in general from a health and economic perspective. It is all anyone talks about during a day and people are totally stressed out.
Many on here are trying to get away from it. I made a post in the chat that wasn't addressed about this exact topic and it got 20 plus likes. So clearly there are many who feel this way. Made a post in a thread that was just locked that wasn't addressed. Trying here.
I also understand that some like to talk about it. I respect that. For them it may not bring anxiety or be exhausting like it is for me and others. A separate board or a couple threads seem like a great place for them to have at it. Again we have a BravesQuest thread that has lasted going on 3 years and everyone who wants the info can go right there. Board would be totally cleaned up. This is a sports message board and personally I don't want to see conservatives and liberals in here going at it on why this administration is doing well or why they suck at this Covid response. But if that wants to be talked about there are places it can be.
The sports talk that is happening, and there absolutely is some going on, often gets missed.
