Nothing unexpected, but a couple of recruiting developments have taken place over the weekend in regards to Tennessee targets:
- Four-star DB Antonio Kite committed to Alabama this afternoon. The Anniston, Alabama native had taken an official visit to Tennessee last weekend.
- Edge rusher Jared Badie committed to Illinois this morning. He took an OV to Tennessee the weekend of June 18. Badie was also considering Minnesota and Michigan State.
- Three-star OL Patrick Kutas released a top four that did not include Tennessee. The Christian Brothers product in Memphis listed FSU, Arkansas, Illinois and Oregon as his top four. Vols tried to get Kutas on campus this summer, but he never made the trip.
- Three-star DB Jaylen Lewis committed to Arkansas on Saturday. Not unexpected, but Tennessee did pick up its recruitment a smidge for the Brownsville, Tennessee recently. Multiple assistants had reached out, which was a change after very little interaction prior. UT didn't make his top 10 in May.
- Tennessee did, however, make the top 5 for in-state DB Anthony Brown yesterday. Vols joined Arkansas, Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois. Brown took an unofficial to Tennessee June 10.
- Five-star RB Branson Robinson will announce on July 22 between Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia.
