I hit on the '77 game yesterday and the fight / Chavis punch and also thought I'd hit on the '71 game today, Similarity in the two games were 99 yard drives/plays. Kelsey Finch still holds the longest run in UT history from that '77 game with a 99 yard TD run (go to the 16 minute mark of the "A Host of Volunteers" podcast to hear great and inspirational stories on that game day/game/fight/close call with a train on the bus and postgame comments/vol network calls. 1971 Was UT's first trip to Gainesville since 1955 and highly anticipated game Battle vs Dickey on "Doug's Rug" at night. A rare white jersey game for Vols (the first of the orange "egg yolk" shoulder pad jersey of the early '70s) Game highlighted by 99 yard drive that was the difference in the game.
