First off, Tennessee got in touch with 2017 Memphis running back Cordarrian 'Big Baby' Richardson tonight and he will be in town this weekend for junior day. Richardson is a guy that has a chance to really blow up this spring as schools come out to see him. He had a big sophomore season for Trezevant as they made it to the state championship game and he won the Offensive MVP for the game in a loss.

Another weekend visitor expected in is defensive end Jordan Smith out of Georgia. He's a long kid that is quick off the line and is someone Tennessee has really tried to make a move with recently.

On the offensive line, both Devin Cochran from Georgia are expected in this weekend. Hamm is a guy who stock is starting to soar as teams dig through his film and get a look at him. He's just a massive kid and right now it's not in a sloppy way. Just a big guy.

We're expecting a good turnout this weekend for Tennessee's junior day, as long as the weather holds that is.

As for some new offers: the Vols offered North Carolina linebacker Okwara today. He's out of Charlotte.

Also, Tennessee was the first SEC offer for 2017 Michigan defensive end Corey Malone-Hatcher.

Finally, congrats to the many recruits we at Volquest have gotten to know that have gone on to have basketball success this year. Chase Hayden won MVP of the Division II-A state championship game as ST. George's cruised to a state championship win. Hayden had 27 points in the game.

Bryce Mathew and Camron Johnson were a part of the Brentwood Academy team that just won the Division II-AA state championship game. Cam finished with eight points and five boards.

Emmit Gooden and Tariqious Tisdale both play in substate games on Tuesday with a chance to go to the state championship game.

And congratulations to Knoxville native and long-time Volquest subscriber Ty Greene for winning the A-Sun conference player of the year. The Bearden HS product averaged 20 ppg as SC Upstate won 21 games in the regular season.
