I counted 11 plays for BG that went for over 20 yards. They had 343 yards on these 11 plays:
(45, 20, 20, 38, 31, 29, 23, 31, 45, 27, 34) Six plays over 30 yards. Unbelievable.

Coaches talk about the need for splash plays to score points because it is hard to drive the length of the field in short increments. BG's negative to no gain plays illustrate this:
Plays resulting in negative to no gain: 34
Incomplete passes: 22
TFL: 8
T for no gain: 4
They also had 16 plays of 1-4 yards giving a total of 50 plays of 4 yards or less.

Obviously the big play issue has to be fixed to be successful this year. Personally I am very hopeful this can be fixed. Moseley was playing well at the end of last year and reportedly has looked very good in practice. Martin will ultimately get healthy. I am also hopeful that Martinez will get this sorted out.
