Was bored, so I wandered. Interesting comments.

No. Tennessee will be underrated, but we are still adding to what is already a top 15 team. Can’t wait to whip the Vols twice next year.

I think they have a good mix of talent coming in and veterans returning that will make them one of the better teams in the SEC. Do I think they should be the favorites? I don't know but here is what I do know:
Barnes had a number of great recruiting classes at Texas and he never really did anything with them.
I think he is great at developing guys over the course of their college career but he's not great at taking freshman and making them the best version of themselves in one year.
How will the guys returning (Pons, Fulkerson, Vescovi, and James) react to maybe taking a backseat to Johnson and Springer? Will be interesting to watch if they have chemistry issues.
A few of his Texas teams remind me of the one that is coming up at Tennessee. High preseason expectations because of a good recruiting class and a good amount of players returning. Mostly all of those teams were non-factors come March. Again, I'm not totally sold on him being great at meshing talent.
IMO, Barnes doesn't handle egos well and I think it will be hard to get those freshman to buy in. Would not surprise me if they flamed out. Would also not surprise me if they were the best team in the SEC because they do have a good amount of talent.
Should be a battle when we play them as they usually play their best ball against UK.

Thought Rick Barnes was a bad coach. How can this be.?
He’s beat us 5 out of 8 games the last few years.

I can see picking Florida, not Ut.

UK ( as long as we add a good center) is a top 5 team. UT is close to that as well. ( top 10 for sure) . UF is too but UF has to be 3rd because of Mike White.
If we get Haarms ( and toppin isn't playing much if he is made eligible which he will be IMO ) we should be around 3 or so
I'd have my top 10 1. Nova 2. Gonzaga 3. Kentucky 4. Baylor 5. UT 6 UVA . 7. Duke 8.MSU 9 UF 10. Houston

Tennessee will be good. They have their top scorer returning, a top 5 recruiting class, and landed a top grad transfer.

The way our roster looks at present I'd say Tennessee has a legit shot at being the top preseason pick un the sec.We still can add a player or two and we absolutely should because in my opinion 9 players won't cut it.We can have 10 IF Toppin is eligible to play and won't have to sit out a year but 9 won't cut it.We get 13 scholarships why are we not using them
