1. Isn't a large measre of the play calling dictated by game planning and rehearsing play calls for various defensive alignments and game situations?
2. How many plays does a college football OC typically have available to call during a game? Surely there is a realistic limit to the number of plays the offense can be prepared to execute.
3. Just how difficult is it, really, for a smart offensive position coach, who has a good game plan, to transition into the role of a play calling OC?
4. Rate game planning v. play calling in terms of importance and difficulty.
Flame away, if you like, but these are questions I have that I would be interested in receiving some knowledgeable feedback.
