Graduated from Tennessee May 9th, Materials Science Engineering Degree, Officially Designated a 2nd Lt May 15th in the Marines, Commissioned today May 20th as I wore my Enlisted Dress Blues (was an Enlisted flyer (E6) in P3's) and gave him his first salute. He departs Knoxville, August 8 for Quantico as a Designated Aviation Candidate 7599 (will learn his ultimate MOS) after completing Basic Flight Training in 2021...Hopefully he survives Infantry Training (6 mos) in Quantico...then on to Pensacola A great Month for the Son...who is Vol for Life Alumni now...and a future Flying Marine.....Go Vols, Fly Marines...You Devil Dog!
