So, I’ve been reading the different postings and rumors about the Grudens buying a home in Knoxville. And, while I can tell you in no uncertain terms that I have no sources at the University, nor do I have any sources in the Gruden camp, I do have a bit of information passed along by my sister-in-law. She is from Knoxville, and a UT alum. She lives in Jacksonville, FL, but is in Knoxville visiting this week, since my husband’s mom, as well as his other sister both live in the area. My sister-in-law had lunch with one of her long-time friends, who is a Knoxville realtor. This realtor said she showed a house to the Gruden’s, and that they talked about placing an offer on it. However, they decided to place an offer on Jim Haslam’s Old house instead. She said the Knoxville realtor market is all abuzz. Flame away. Maybe this is just the house they are buying for their son (although it seems like that would have to be a pretty expensive home for their college son) or maybe they are just buying a house to be closer to her family. Who knows. Just passing along.
