There was a time when we just could not recruit an SEC level quarterback. Anyone remember Art Galiffa? How about Steve Allatore? Gary Valbueana (nicknamed "bean dip" by his teammates)? David Chadwick? Alan Cockrell was a program changer at the time.

For years we could not sign a big time defensive lineman. The newspapers moaned the lack of producing those guys in our state. We had undersized DT's while Auburn had Tracy Rocker.

Whatever you may think of Butch Jones, he has been able to recruit SEC level talent at each position.
