A lot of the late season Butch mental analysis (for all it's worth) got me thinking. Take this with a grain of salt, obviously, because I can't possibly know what's in the guy's head.
If Butch doesn't hire out of his comfort zone, how much of that would you chalk up to him being nervous about not being in complete control of both the scheme and public perception that the coordinator would bring in? Stated differently: How do you think Butch would feel about a coordinator who may overshadow him?
On Helfrich: I could see Butch being somewhat nervous about not being the sole coaching focus of the program. Even a Ken Dorsey would kind of fit this mold. Just a thought.
