I'm biased. Going on 40 years ago today, I took a new job and I had to move to NC. A friend of mine called me and said there was this girl he wanted to fix me up with, I told him blind dates had never really worked out for me. He said she had been a cheerleader for an ACC school and she was very good looking. Not knowing many people, I said what the hay....okay. We arranged to meet at a bar. She said, I will be wearing a blue dress. I was waiting and saw several good looking women come in but not in a blue dress. One though kind of stood out from the rest. After awhile, I thought either I got stood up or we had a miscommunication about where to meet. After a couple of more minutes as I was getting ready to leave, the girl who stood out came over and introduced herself as the girl I was waiting for. I said...but you don't have on a blue dress. She smiled and said.. a smart girl never leaves herself without an exit. That woman just made me lunch and reminded me of this day all those years ago. Lord sure moves in mysterious ways. Sorry to go all non football on you guys but for any of you guys who might be picky about blind dates....some work out a lot better than you think. And no I am not sharing any pictures.
