years in a bible study with a friend who's an addict. He's been on a constant rollar coaster of being clean then going a few weeks getting smashed. His father died last April and his brother and mother refuse to communicate with him.
He's threatened suicide multiple times and I've called the authorities each time. He claims to have lung cancer, HIV, and still goes out and has unprotected sex with women who have no clue. He's claimed to be physically abusive to his girlfriend and son. He literally manipulates everyone he communicates with.
Recently the paranoia has been crazy. So much so he cooked up some crazy story about me in an attempt to seriously hurt my family. Since then, I have cut off all communication because this guy is crazy now.
I'm still praying for the guy but can't help but feel I failed trying to help him. If you guys could add Doug to your prayer list. He's lost and I fear he's going to hurt someone or himself sooner rather than later.
