I'm going to trust Butch and give Debord a fair shot.
Remember how we panicked about the hiring of Jancek and Martinez and how UGA fans thought that was the worst possible move? Both have turned out to be pretty dang good. Now, we're hoping Jancek stays here.
What if we end up running the exact same offense as we have been with new terminology as the last two years? What if Debord happens to be better at teaching the system and better at calling the right play at the opportune time?
The deal is this: Butch hasn't stockpiled all of this talent to watch it rust away. If he didn't think the man knows what he's doing and couldn't get the job done, he wouldn't hire him.
