Watched the 30/30 about the Duke case this morning. It's sad how fast the media crucified these boys and the girl who accused them of rape. The DA was tampering with evidence as well as the lead detective. It was done so effectively I was unaware they had been cleared. My question is, this case was brought to trial and done in just over a year, why is it taking so long for AJ?
And also found it interesting that they had ALL the phone records of the accused and the so called victim. Now I realize it wasn't text messages. But the incoming and outgoing calls helped clear the boys. They developed a time line as well on where the boys were and when they were on the phone. Was their case pushed thru because they could afford the lawyers and AJ can't? The parents admited that battling the state was becoming a almost unbearable financial burden and they felt helpless against the states unlimited resources. It's scary that at DA trying to get elected could get away with this, and a detective known for being hard on Duke students and athletes was able to get away with it to.
