Am I missing something on Stimulus Checks

So Social Security recipients get them? And also others who do not work?

There are businesses going under and we are paying people who financially should not be harmed by the downturn?

I don't get it. My parents are on social security. So they get a bonus check of $2400 while people out of work are trying to pay their bills?
