I am not sold that our D is better this year schematically or in terms of ultimate results, even discounting for a mountain of injuries. What is hard to assess is how much the injuries have changed our schemes. Certainly the execution has been downright poor at times and that may just reflect we are playing folks deep in our depth chart. But our schemes look very vanilla and look very slow to react to any form of offensive shifting or misdirection (Appy, Tech, AM, Bama). Who is sold on Shoop as a clear improvement? Does Vandy have a better D than us?
