According to Brice there was virtually no communication between administration and the AD about the settlement. Many in the AD didn't even know it was done until late Tuesday afternoon. The extent of discussion about the settlement figure was that the number was released and athletics was told they were paying half. I'm not a Hart hater but I hope this is indicative of his standing and not the overall Admin/AD relationship.
