Basically COVID has screwed our season.
It has made it virtually impossible to get our young players, who are better than our older players, at QB, WR, DB, OLB/RDE, even LB's and OL ready to contribute. Losing spring and weeks of fall practice has been devastating. Yes, other schools have experienced similar things, but those schools weren't left a pile of steaming poop by Lyle.
IMO, if Bailey had been able to go thru a normal spring/fall practice, he'd be the starter right now and we would have beaten KY. The fact is, we're still not ready to compete with the big boys. I'd have no problem being 3-2 with confidence that we could get to 6 or 7. Looks like 3 or 4 is all we're going to get now, because of the pandemic.
