Last nights game was an illustration of the type of basketball I enjoy:
  • Lots of movement without the ball
  • crisp passing on the perimeter
  • three point attempts within the motion of the offense rather than off the dribble
  • defense moving the feet
  • and good defensive rotation and movement
These things are why I enjoy watching Barnes teams more than Pearls. I don't know how many assists Auburn had but it certainly wasn't many and most of their points came on isolation plays offensively. It is just a preference for me and I fully understand that some might be more entertained by the iso plays and the dribble drive plays.

I also get frustrated by the inconsistency that the one on one frequent pull up for threes without a pass style of play as if it is working it is great but as was the case last night for Auburn especially in the first half when it isn't working it is maddening for me as a basketball fan.
