Two things about the Vols right now.
1. The book is out on the Vols. Pack the D in and make the guards beat you and use the dribble drive on offense. It works sometimes and has almost worked several others. The Vols are still a tough out, but that's the way to play them. It all comes down to guard play on both ends.
2. Barnes is trying to manage the season-long fatigue issue. With the kind of effort UT players are required to exert, they will wear down. Last year there was no answer. This year Barnes is working the second-tier subs in as much as he can. They are not particularly productive and it will narrow the margin of victory at times. But I think he figures the risk is worth the reward - playing for the tourney. I think he's willing to put a place or two of seeding at risk to enter the tourney with a physically rested squad.
