Both defenses were making stops. Goal was to play field position and hope your QB makes fewer mistakes than theirs against a tough defensive front, so you can get some easy points to secure a two score lead and force the other team to start making some risky calls that would snowball against them. Their inexperienced 4th string QB executed the plan better than our 5th year senior.
