Last week was probably one of the craziest / busiest weeks of my life. I work for an IT firm and organizations were doubling down trying to purchase equipment to enable a rushed remote worker strategy. It's still busy this week. I've also always had the benefit of working from home. So as odd as it sounds, so far, I've made it through unscathed.

Then you have a friend of mine who txtd me this: "I am so f****ed. I am for sure getting laid off. Our revenues have dropped to $0." He works in the hospitality industry here in Nashville. No bars. No restaurants. No nothing. There's a lot of people who were doing great three weeks ago, hell last weekend, that have no income or are about to have no income. Hopefully this is is going to be short lived but there is no way to know.

What are ways to change how the consuming public engages these establishments ... bars, restaurants, etc. in a way that allows them to transform how they do things as they get this. Carry out, gift cards, etc. All important things but that's not going to get it done.

Not sure what ideas we can get on here but I'm interested in having a conversation with a little creativity and problem solving with my big orange bretheren.

The government can help coordinate resources but the private sector and every day people have to solve this.
