Something doesn't seem to add up. We turn away a Rivals 100 guy at a a position of need yet we're open to taking a 5th guy at the position? If that's true, why wouldn't Victor be that 5th guy? There are only a few explanations as I see it:
- Vols aren't that high on Victor. Seems unlikely since they had him on an OV.
- Vols never told Victor that he couldn't commit and he actually just chose tOSU outright over Tennessee. I'd prefer not to believe this.
- Vols would take a 5th WR ONLY if some other guys (Kongbo, Brown, Warrior, etc.) fall through, and Victor wasn't willing to wait and see.
Which of these scenarios is the most likely?
If it's the final option, and the Vols find themselves ready to take a commitment from a 5th WR on or closer to signing day, is there any chance that The Vols might revisit Victor and would he be receptive? If he wanted to commit here to begin with, we must have been his favorite at least at one time, right?
