We've all heard that Higgins is interested in being a two-sport athlete, or at least that was the last thing I heard about him on this front. Given Tennessee basketball's relative position (could catch fire with the right kindling) v. Clemson's (never gonna crack into the top of the ACC with the perennial powers), how much has Barnes been involved with Higgins and how much has that message been sold, if at all?
If I'm not mistaken, his football scholarship would obviate the need for a basketball one and wouldn't count toward UT basketball's count? Or is this incorrect?
Nonetheless, if Higgins is serious about being a two-sporter and with Jones having demonstrated his willingness to let players try their hat at it, will we see Barnes get more involved in his recruiting? UT Football and Basketball could use him, no doubt.
Thanks!
