My big picture question is WHY?
I get the complaints about Cheek. I also understand that there have been some controversies under Hart's administration. However, things are so much improved compared to 5 years ago from a financial standpoint, on the field, with the Nike contract, recruiting, stability of football/basketball, structure and chemistry of both coaches and within the AD.
Why would UT make significant changes now (ie letting Hart go right after getting a new chancellor)? The last thing our university needs is instability after so many years of it in the recent past.
What are your thoughts? Not just on "why" in your unbiased reporter voice, but your personal opinion about YOUR university?
