Buddy of mines great grandmother admitted to hospital as COVID although she has no symptoms

and also has not received a test. I don't know exactly why she went to the hospital but he said she wasn't experiencing any respiratory distress or discomfort, or any other known covid symptom. They sent her to the covid wing anyway. Hospital in Georgia.

Has this been happening?
