Why are so many just readily assuming that Ford was screwed over by Butch? Of course the folks on Ford's side will say he was cut due to numbers and it is also the most convenient thing for the media to say.
I'm willing to give Butch the benefit of the doubt, especially considering the circumstances. I don't think Butch would bring a guy on an official visit if he was planning to pull his scholarship soon due to space. My own speculation is that Ford didn't mesh with the team on his visit for whatever reason and that was relayed to Butch. It has happened a couple of times before under Butch where a kid came on a visit and then Butch quit recruiting them.
