Hard to watch the tv intro by CBS and not really appreciate the missed opportunity.
I'm very grateful Coach Jones made us relevant again. We were in the depths under Dooley. Butch shifted that back. He righted the ship from sinking.
But this was the game he was paid to play in. There will never be a better opportunity to win the SEC East and play in the championship game than this year.
Butch won battles. But Butch has not proven--and most likely cannot--win the war.
Ironically, the only recently precedent for him to succeed at this point going forward is to track Dabo Swinney's career arc at Clemson. Rich irony.
