We will start with the best of the best and that was Caleb Herring. So how did he look? š³š³š³š³š³š³ Like a million dollars! He was long and super athletic. He was fluid out in space. The āļøāļøāļøāļø has been generating plenty of buzz as a prospect and the rising junior did not disappoint on Friday night. He clocked a 4.7 40-yard dash and showed good burst and athleticism in drills. He has an incredibly long frame and itās easy to see that heās got a ton of room to grow and a frame that will easily handle all the weight heās about to add.
He camped at UGA yesterday and will head to Bama tomorrow. After that he is done for camps.
Greenbrier OLB/DE Nathan Robinson just looks the part. He has an impressive lower half and is just touching the surface of what he is going to grow into over time. He plays OLB in high school but worked on the DL at camp which put him in unfamiliar territory and he still did well.
Staying at the line of scrimmage Brycen Sanders was someone who stood out. He showed really good explosion and lots of athleticism. He is like a right tackle or guard at the next level but he was very impressive. Remember his father and Elarbee played at MTSU together.
Ripleyās Terrance Edler got banged up but they have seen him run at the state track meet so that wonāt be an issue. He spent some time with both Willie Martinez and Josh Heupel during the camp.
Jeremiah Flemmons is an athlete. Heāll quarterback this fall but projects as a wide receiver at the next level. He has experience at both positions in high school and 7-on-7 and even took a few reps at CB tonight. Heās tall, long and uses his length to his advantage. Heāll camp at Vanderbilt and Arkansas State in June as well. We wouldnāt be shocked to see the East Hamilton athlete receive an offer in the not so distant future. Flemmons was the most intriguing skill guys we saw. He would be a great centerfielder in baseball. He has really good closing speed and can go get it. He also camped some at defensive back as well. The class of 2022 athlete at 6-2, 190 got the attention of many on Friday.
There was a strong group of young receivers on campus Friday night.
Ayden Greene was one of the more impressive guys in camp tonight. Even with a banged up ankle, the Powell Panther ran crisp routes and made several athletic plays high-pointing the football. His long strides allow him to run past DBs with ease. Greene excels down the field, stretching the defense. He has really good hands and hauls in most things close to him. Heāll also camp with Vanderbilt, Auburn, Virginia and EKU. Heāll check out Georgia and Michigan as well.
His fellow Elite 3 7v7 teammate Brandon Heyward, who plays for Oak Ridge and is a 2024 name to watch earned a Tennessee offer on Friday night. He was so good in the slot showing quickness and elusiveness.
Also close to picking up an offer was Brandon Winton from Webb. The 2024 standout looked smooth and explosive.
Boo Carter is an explosive, compact athlete out of Chattanooga who just recently picked up an offer from Tennessee. The offer was a big deal for Carter, his first big offer and one that he thought he would have to come to camp to earn. After his performance tonight Tennessee probably doesnāt regret pulling the trigger early. Carter is really explosive, showed great burst and really accelerates out of his cuts and smoothly changes direction. Heās headed to Kentucky, Clemson and Georgia in the coming weeks to camp.
MBAās Marcel Reed has a strong arm. He was more accurate down the field Friday night than in the short and intermediate passing game. Had a strong showing overall, has active feet and athletic ability ā utilizes his legs both inside and outside of the pocket. As a passer he displayed touch, accuracy and the ability to throw the ball with authority and put it into tight windows. Itās easy to see why heās already regarded as one of the top signal callers in the 2023 class.
Heāll camp at Alabama tomorrow with stops at Georgia, Clemson, Texas, Texas A&M and Ole Miss in the making.
Isaiah Horton didnāt camp but certainly looked the part. Multiple people told Volquest they were impressed with his size. He visited Florida earlier in the week. He was accompanied by his parents.
Brandon Solis is a big, good looking 2023 lineman thatās not really on the radar in a big way yet but certainly could end up being. He plays for Trent Dilfer at Lipscomb Academy so heās getting some high level coaching. What stands out about Solis right now is his frame at 6-foot-5 and just under 300. Heās long and lean with plenty of room to grow and add weight. He moves really well, looked light on a feet for a player his age at that size, none of the awkwardness you can sometimes see in young kids that big. Solis only has offers from Marshall and Eastern Kentucky right now but that seems likely to change.
Overall, I thought the turnout for the camp was good in terms of talent level. Two positions that stood out to me was receiver and offensive line.
The other position that we thought was good was the offensive line. I thought Carter Miller from Ravenwood High School was the most productive offensive lineman at the camp. Miller is a center all the way in my opinion at 6-1 or 6-2. Miller was aggressive and pretty solid. The class of ā22 prospect is one to watch for sure.

Heās added a couple of pounds and said he had definitely gotten stronger since we saw him on our state tour.
