Tennessee held another one day two session camp on Sunday which saw the Vols offer two in-state products.

Karns High School running back De’Sean Bishop, who is in the class of 2023, is one of the most productive high school players in the state of Tennessee leading Karns’ offense. Sunday, Bishop showed his athletic ability as he worked at both running back and slot and walked away with a Tennessee offer.

“This is the most I have smiled all camp,” the 5-10, 190 pound Bishop said. “It means a lot because all the hard work is paying off.”

The other prospect to land an offer is class of 2025 receiver Cameron Sparks from The Baylor School. The 6-3, 205 pound prospect put on a good show in testing and was pretty impressive in his route running to be such a young player.

Marquez Taylor was the big fish in the pond during the morning session. He was explosive and showed great burst. He worked at running back, wide receiver and defensive back. He adjusted well to the ball in the air. After camp, he toured the school and did the photo shoot that comes with an unofficial visit. Taylor’s coach described him as Jabari Greer, who he coached in Jackson, TN, when we visited with Taylor on our state tour last month.

Maryville senior to be Markel Fortenberry had a good day as well. Fortenberry got a tour and some personalized attention after camp. The receiver measured in at nearly 6-4, 189. Fortenberry doesn’t have any power 5 offers, but he’s going to be on a lot of schools heavy evaluation list.

Safety Clinton Jackson from Georgia who’s in the class of 2023 had some solid moments as well. Is he athletic enough to play middle of the field at 6-2, 172 is the question, but he’s a guy who will continue to be evaluated for sure.

Tight end Jackson Long camped for the third straight day. He was at South Carolina Friday, Clemson Saturday and Tennessee today. Long weighed in at 218 pound and 6-4. He caught the ball well and is a guy Tennessee and power 5 schools are going to continue to evaluate and recruit. Long said his goal this camp season was to prove he’s a college football player and it’s safe to say the 2022 prospect is proving that. He proved to the staff today that he is physical enough to play at this level.

Class of 2023 quarterback Tad Hudson from Hough High School just outside of Charlotte was the best signal caller in camp. He had some solid throws but probably is down the board for power 5 and SEC schools at this point.
