Can we have a calm/rational debate about CBJ and coaching changes?

We all know 2017 is an important year for CBJ and our FB program. I won't use the "hot seat" label because many object to it. Yet, any way you slice it, year 5 is critical to CBJ and his long term success at UT. So are his staff changes.

I know we're all hoping for big splash hires. Do Gruden and Peyton own land in E TN? Seriously, we all want those big name that will lead us to championships and recruiting success. Unfortunately, IMO, CBJ is going to stay in his comfort zone and hire only those he knows.

I think this is a mistake. I know CBJ wants to succeed and be a VFL. I just question if he'll make the right choices. Moreover, everything we're hearing from our mods lead me to believe that Scott, Weinke, and Barlow will be our only additions. Perhaps Stripling takes an administrative job, and we also add Hoke. But what about our OL and LB play and development?

I know that massive turnover is undesirable. Continuity is important and we don't want to appear like a sinking ship with all of the rats jumping ship. I just think we have serious development and recruiting issues that must be dealt with. I also know it's early and a lot can change.

What do you all think?
