On Heupel and Co setting a school record for points in year 1?
Tillman’s story is insane, and that’s the headliner. He didn’t recruit Hooker. Didn’t have a number 1 tailback, and really kind of struggled with SEC quality depth because of health. No game breakers at TE.
I cannot imagine what he will do with a full cupboard in years to come. Of course, as the conference sees the tempo year-in-year-our they’ll bet better at defending it, but Heupel seems to be more than comfortable finding another pitch. I think as the roster grows with players and in the system, that part of this offense will blossom as well.
Like Georgia going to the title game with a truly elite defense and a good offense, Heupel is capable of the inverse.
