I saw Pred's thread the other day and need some advice of my own if any of you are familiar with Tennessee car insurance laws.

I took my car to a dealership yesterday for service. A service tech drove my car to another location to use their alignment rack and wrecked my car into the building. The service team there came up with a plan to use filler to repair the damage (several panels are dented and scratched) and that is not acceptable to me because my car was in perfect condition before I took it in there. They say that they want to fix it at their body shop.

I told them I was not satisfied with that plan and that according to state law I could take it to the body shop of my choice and have it repaired and they would have to pay for it. The service manager said that he would look at another estimate but not agree to pay for the repair without looking at what was going on. I responded that I would take it to a shop and send them a bill and they could pay for it out of pocket or I could file a claim with their insurance company.

I asked for their insurance company contact information and he refused to give it to me.

Should I get a lawyer and if so, do you guys have a recommendation?
