Curious if any of yall have insight as to how some of the other members of the class of 14 dealt with Vic transferring out. Lifelong friends with TKjr, rode up to campus with Hurd multiple times (hurds mom and step dad attending Vic's signing day ceremony), was key in swaying teammate Rahsaan Gaulden to sign with UT, close with Barnett, Berrys, Coleman Thomas etc.
Did any of the above mentioned urge him to stay or was it more of a situation where they supported the decision of a friend and teammate to go after his dreams (transferring out).
I'm still dumbfounded that he's gone. >
Fact is playing at UT was his ambition since he was very young.
At a much smaller level I've been a part of supporting a teammate that felt like the deck was stacked against him and thought about quitting, as a unit with other peers to pull a struggling brother/teammate/friend up. This is very common in sports and one would have thought given the closeness of the legacy class that maybe more of an effort could have been made by his classmates to help reel him in. Unless I'm totally off base and don't know the situation.
Any feedback from someone in the know is appreciated. Just depressed that he bolted so soon.
