Jar Jar was a sith lord the entire time and Lucas caved under the hate of the character and changed the whole story to write him out. Maybe this is old news but I just stumbled across it and my mind is blown. The reveal of Jar Jar being the "Phantom Menace" would have been the "I'm your father" moment in Clone Wars. Instead we got boring ass Count Dooku.
