This will not be a popular opinion, but it is mine. Take it for what it's worth; just a fan's opinion.

Butch has some big boy choices to make if he wants to remain at UT. By my clock, I think he gets one more year after this to win the East (if he doesn't luck into this year by UF losing twice). But before that happens he'll have to:

--Prove he has control of the team
--Replace Debord with a proven playcaller who runs a balanced offense (needs to be homerun hire)
--Replace Mahoney
--A shakeup somewhere on the Defensive side of the ball (likely LBs; Martinez just needs better talent, but I guess same could be said with Thigpen; overall development with LBs has been bad though compared to DBs)
--Hold onto Gillespie
--Likely have to replace Azzanni because he'll want the OC job but won't get it in this scenario
--Change game philosophy from Conservative to Moderate and from analytical to semi-analytical (descriptive I know; but I think you get what I'm saying here. He can't be by the chart all the time)
--Stop involving players' families in game decisions/stop promising you'll take their input (which is what was rumored with Hurd)

If Butch can't do these things, I think he's out.
