I'm curious. I haven't lived in the state for quite some time. I'd like to see a statement that best characterizes feelings about the Vols in each of the regional areas. For:
Memphis
Nashville area/middle Tn
Chattanooga
Knoxville
Tri-state
Northwest Tn
Example: Nashville is primarily as Vols town. Vandy presence ebbs and flows, depending on how they're doing. And there's also pockets of enthusiasm for MTSU and other local colleges. Titans presence has most effected Vol passion in this Nashville area.
Another example (I'm guessing): Interest in the Vols depends on which sport you're talking about. Football-wise, there's more TN interest than anything else but not by a lot, because of Tiger High and the Miss. schools. Also, strange pockets of Bama fans there. Re. basketball, it's probably a Tiger High/Grizzlies town, with interest in TN basketball third.
