Completely ridiculous the University System got $40mil from the Cares Act

Why is the world do Universities with billion + endowments need money from the tax payers? UT has a $1.355 billion endowment. I know some of that money is restricted but it’s ridiculous they can’t just take money from their endowment. What the hell is that money for if not for situations like this?

Harvard took $8.7mil from the Cares act and then realized how stupid that was considering they have a $40bil endowment. They returned the money.

No matter who wins the election, taxes will have to go up to pay for all these government handouts.
