It’s likely going to be Bama/Texas. I know.
But Bama/Texas isn’t on an ESPN affiliated network/channel and at noon.
They’ll also likely be going to Bama/A&M, possibly Bama/LSU. Bama is currently -15 in Vegas vs Texas (Texas isn’t “back”, at least yet).
Perks for going to TN/Pitt:
- Bunch of highlights and breakdowns from last year’s matchup.
- They rarely have Game Day at Pitt, an NFL stadium.
- Line will show a close matchup
- Rare non conference matchup where they can do features from both schools on Majors
- Likely fireworks offenses
- Both teams could be ranked (Pitt is 2nd highest odds to win ACC only behind Clemson)
- It’s their ABC 3:30 big matchup (only Florida/Kentucky is even in the equation as far as matchups on ESPN networks that week)
I know it’s like 99% going to Bama/Texas but one can dream I guess. Would be fun for them to feature that game.
