I think most agree that JG appears to be the best fit for the Tennessee offense under CBJ, but watching the highlights of Mahomes who lead the NCAA in passing in 2016, I could see QD being the same type of QB. Mahomes only averaged 2 yards per carry, but has a great arm and the ability to scramble in the pocket:

I'm not saying that I don't think JG gets the starting nod. I am just pointing out that if QD gets the nod, there is still an opportunity for the Vols to be successful.
