Could recent situation with Ford be the reason Jake departed?

Jake seemed to get really attached to the players. I know Ford is on defensive side of the ball but maybe just maybe the lack of integrity exhibited by CBJ has become an issue to Jake?

Only speculation but something stinks about the timing of this deal and where and position he is going to.
