Man, Vols blew a chance to really go into the half with a cushion there. Led 39-26 but just came apart in the last four minutes. Missed their last four shots while Arky closed 4-of-5 from the floor on an 11-0 run to trim that lead to 39-37.
Tennessee had been so sound on offense until that close, really bad shot selection there in the final minutes. Vols shot 50% in the first 10 minutes of the half but got cold late and and stand at 36% for the game now.
Despite the last four minutes, still an impressive first half in a lot of ways. Hubbs came out HOT, made his first four shots from the floor and has 12 at the half. Jordan Bone looks like he's definitely a little more in sync with things tonight. Has four points but is playing fast and certainly looks healthy.
Tennessee had just two turnovers in that first half which is a really nice stat for this team, especially in this match-up against a squad that's trying hard to make it sloppy and get things going back and forth.
